According to Singapore's "Lianhe Zaobao", since the end of 2023, advertising and publicity of existing drinks with high sugar and trans fat content, the Ministry of Health of the country will announce specific measures in the middle of next year.

It is reported that Singapore Minister of Health Wang Yikang pointed out that restricted beverages include coffee shops, freshly squeezed juice, and bubble tea. These beverages have gradually become the source of sugar in the diet. The Ministry of Health will also require merchants who sell these beverages to label the nutritional grade label of sugar and trans fat content in the entity and electronic menu.

It is reported that starting from December 30 this year, all packaging drinks and drinks sold through automatic vending machines must be labeled with nutritional levels similar to "traffic lights". It is forbidden to advertise to promote D -class packaging beverages with the highest trans fat content.

Wang Yikang pointed out that although the measures have not yet been implemented, the manufacturer has begun to improve the formula. The median sugar content of local packaging beverages has been reduced from 7.1%in 2017 to 4.7%in 2021. The sales of beverages with high sugar content (C and D) also decreased from 63%in 2017 to 40%in 2021, and the sales of beverages with less than 5%of the sugar content increased from 37%to 60 during the same period to 60 %.
