In September of this year, more children may take the subway bus or will be free. On August 10, the Wuhan Transportation Bureau issued the "Notice of the Municipal Transportation Bureau on Adjusting Children's Public Transportation Tools on Urban Public Transportation" for opinions. The announcement shows that from September, Wuhan will be adjusted to 1.3 meters to the height standard of children in public transportation tickets. Once passed, more children will take the subway bus or will be free. At present, the announcement is soliciting opinions, deadline until August 24.

The announcement pointed out that with the continuous improvement of the material living conditions of the people and the comprehensive liberalization of the third -child policy, in order to fully protect the children's ride rights and interests, and draw on the experience and practices of other cities, Wuhan will adjust the relevant matters of children's urban public transportation:

Children below 1.3 meters (inclusive) can take Wuhan public transportation for free. One adult ticket passenger can carry children with less than 1.3 meters (inclusive) for free. The number of children is not limited.

The announcement also emphasized that children with less than 1.3 meters (inclusive) should be accompanied by adults, and children under unmanned 1.3 meters (inclusive) shall not take urban public transportation. In addition, the announcement is that public transportation refers to buses, trams, light rails, subways, and trams.

According to the announcement information, the above matters are adjusted and implemented from September 1, 2022.
