Sinopec carbon fiber that develops trials for trial production is a high -intensity new fiber material with a carbon content of more than 95%. The proportion is less than a quarter of the steel, but the intensity is 7 to 9 times the steel, and it also has the characteristics of corrosion resistance. Applying to aircraft components, raw material materials, body manufacturing, etc., has a wide range of application prospects in all walks of life.

Wan Tao, Secretary of the Shanghai Petrochemical Party Committee, said that after the project is completed and put into operation, it will increase the single -line production capacity of the original wire and carbon fiber, effectively reduce the cost of carbon fiber production, improve the situation of all large carbon fibers in my country relying on imports and long -term supply, and promote the high -quality domestic carbon fiber industry high -quality industry Development, helping the transformation and upgrading of Chinese manufacturing, ranking among the forefront of the world.

In the carbon fiber industry, the number of carbon fiber roots is more than 48,000 (48K ") of each bunch of carbon fibers. At present, each bunch of carbon fibers in China is basically between 1,000 and 12,000 roots, called small silk beams. The biggest advantage of 48K large silk beam is that under the same production conditions, it can greatly improve the single -line production capacity and quality performance of carbon fiber, and achieve low cost production, thereby breaking the application limitations brought by the high price of carbon fiber. So far, only a few countries such as Japan and the United States have owned and mastered the carbon fiber production technology of large silk beams.

Sinopec and Shanghai Petrochemical Research Institute, Shanghai Engineering Company, etc., with the strong support of Shanghai, more than 10 universities, scientific research institutes, and enterprises such as Beijing Chemical University and Fudan University have taken out a enterprise as the main body. The combination of "production, learning, research, and use" has achieved major breakthroughs in 2018. At present, Sinopec's carbon fiber technology has independent intellectual property rights, which has obtained a total of 274 relevant patents and authorized 165 items, ranking third in the world.
