During the time when I was the chief representative of the Hong Kong Trade Development Agency (hereinafter referred to as the "Trade Development Bureau"), I was fortunate to have experienced the results of the Expo for two consecutive sessions to witness the results of the Expo. In November of this year, the Fifth Expo is about to open. Despite factors such as epidemics, the preparation of the various group exhibitions of the Trade and Development Bureau is still promoted in an orderly manner.

As a group exhibition agency, the Trade and Development Bureau has organized Hong Kong companies to go to Shanghai to exhibition and visit, which can be regarded as the "old friend" of the Expo. Over the past four years, the Trade Development Agency has led the establishment of the "Hong Kong Food Museum" and "Hong Kong Service Trade Museum" at the Expo. It has organized nearly 200 Hong Kong companies to come to the exhibition, with a cumulative exhibition area of ​​nearly 5,700 square meters. In addition, the Trade and Development Bureau also actively organized relevant institutions and enterprises in Hong Kong to watch the exhibition as an overseas trading group.

Hong Kong gathers global cuisine, Hong Kong service connects the world, and Hong Kong under the "one country, two systems" is very special in the new development pattern of the country's "dual cycle". In the past few decades of reform and opening up, relying on the advantages of the two markets of domestic and foreign markets, Hong Kong business and Hong Kong enterprises have played an important role in promoting Chinese companies' "going out" and "going in" in foreign companies. Nowadays, with the blessing of the Expo platform, global business opportunities have come, and Hong Kong's global trade resources, goods and professional services have been quickly introduced into the mainland market.

For example, the Hong Kong -operated food and beverage export companies Weifeng Global, during the third expo, rice noodles intend to exceed 5 million yuan. After participating in the third Expo, Hong Kong's characteristic vegetarian food companies, after participating in the third expo, quickly settled in Shanghai and opened experiential catering stores. Hualong, a Hong Kong entrepreneurial enterprise in the field of health, made its first appearance at the Fourth Expo, which won the attention of mainland buyers. Through participation in the expo, Hong Kong companies signed cooperation intentions and orders on the spot, or met new friends and expanded the circle of friends.

The "charm" of the platform's platform is far more than that. I have contacted many old exhibitors who have followed the Exhibition of the Trade and Development Bureau for many years, and also met many "new faces" registered for the first time. In my opinion, these achievements not only benefit from the Expo to bring a large number of outstanding brands and products, but also reflect the number of companies in the exhibition's trading groups. Although due to the epidemic situation in the past two years, the number of trading groups who have entered the field has decreased compared with the epidemic, but the quality of the enterprise remains high, and almost all have obvious demand for procurement and cooperation.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the return of the motherland in Hong Kong, and it is also a new starting point. The signing area of ​​the "Hong Kong Food Museum" and "Hong Kong Service and Trade Museum" led by the Fifth Expo of the Fifth Expo has reached 1450 square meters.
