Ministry of Commerce: From January to July, the total amount of import and export of service trade in my country increased by 20.7% year-on-year

On September 1st, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Commerce, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce Shu Jioting introduced the development of trade in my country from January to July this year.

Shu Jianting revealed that from January to July, my country's service trade continued to grow steadily. The total amount of service imports and exports was 3392.21 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), an increase of 20.7%year -on -year; of which service exports were 1642.24 billion yuan, an increase of 22.8%; imports were 1749.97 billion yuan, an increase of 18.9%. The increase in service exports was greater than the import of 3.9 percentage points, driving the service trade deficit of 20.1%to 107.73 billion yuan. In July, my country's total service imports and exports were 499.9 billion yuan, an increase of 15.7%year -on -year.

The main features include the steady growth of knowledge -intensive service trade. From January to July, the knowledge-intensive service import and export was 1418.07 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%. Among them, the export of knowledge -intensive service exports was 795.47 billion yuan, an increase of 12.9%; the areas where exports grew rapidly were telecommunications computers and information services, and other commercial services, with an increase of 15.2%and 14%, respectively. Knowledge -intensive service imports were 622.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9%; the fields of rapid imports were insurance services, with a growth rate of 77.2%.

The import and export of travel services continued to recover. From January to July, the import and export of travel services in my country was 462.23 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%, of which exports fell 21.5%, and imports increased by 10.8%. Excluding travel services, from January to July, my country's service imports and exports increased by 23.1%, of which exports increased by 24.3%and imports increased by 21.8%. Compared with the same period in 2019, the service import and export increased by 51.5%, of which exports increased by 66%, imports increased by 36.99.9 %.
