China ’s diverse landforms and huge populations have made it one of the most frequent countries in the world. Survivors of natural disasters and public health crises, front -line staff and other community members usually cause psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, and post -trauma stress disorder. In developing countries such as China, it provides fast and effective social psychological support for survivors after the disaster, and it is a new concept before the beginning of the 21st century.

The study showed that before the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, China ’s experience in social psychological support after the crisis was very limited. However, since the Wenchuan earthquake, China has quickly mobilized trained professionals to provide mental hygiene and social psychological services in the affected communities. This was reflected in the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and the response of the new crown epidemic in early 2020. At the same time, these interventions related to crisis are not only designed to reduce the symptoms of mental pain, but also focus on the reconstruction of the psychological toughness of the survivor's psychological trauma.

Studies also pointed out that although China's mental health and social psychological intervention measures have improved substantial improvement in the past 20 years, there are still insufficient insufficiency. Specifically, these measures have not been completely integrated into the current state and local level emergency response systems, and lack of effective supervision and evaluation of mental health services. In addition, the quality and coverage of related services are imbalanced.

As a world -renowned psychological health expert, Professor He Baien has worked closely for the famous scholars of the Shanghai Mental Health Center, the post -disaster reconstruction and management college of Sichuan University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Columbia University and other institutions. Research. This research is also the latest achievement of the Global Health and Fair Research Center of Shanghai New York University.
