Among them, exported 157.61 billion yuan, an increase of 26.7%; imports were 80.9 billion yuan, an increase of 1.6%. In May, the total value of imports and exports in Hubei Province was 53.31 billion yuan, an increase of 24.1%.

The main characteristics of the foreign trade from Hubei Province from January to May of 2022 mainly include the following points.

General trade imports and exports have grown rapidly, and the import and export of processing trade has grown steadily. From January to May, Hubei Province imported and exported 174.8 billion yuan in general trade, an increase of 16.6%, accounting for 73.5%of the total import and export value of the province (the same below) in the same period. In addition, imports and exports were imported and exported by processing trade by 30.2 billion yuan, an increase of 10.3%year -on -year, accounting for 12.7%.

ASEAN, the European Union, and the United States are the top three trading partners, and the import and exports of countries along the “Belt and Road” have grown rapidly. From January to May, the import and export of private enterprises in Hubei Province was 146.15 billion yuan, an increase of 26%, accounting for 61.5%. During the same period, the import and export of state -owned enterprises was 47.45 billion yuan, an increase of 4%, accounting for 20%. The import and export of foreign -invested enterprises was 43.82 billion yuan, an increase of 6.6%, accounting for 18.4%.

Wuhan City is in a leading position in foreign trade, and the import and exports of 14 cities and prefectures are growing. From January to May, Wuhan's imports and exports were 144.3 billion yuan, an increase of 14.1%, accounting for 60.7%of the total import and export value of the province during the same period, and continued to maintain a leading position in cities and states throughout the province. From the perspective of import and export growth, 14 imports and exports in the province's 17 cities and states have increased. Among them, Jingmen relied on its lithium -ion battery industry to develop rapidly, and the import and export increased by 67.3%, which was 50.3 percentage points higher than the province.

The export of high -tech products has grown rapidly, and the value of pure electric passenger cars, lithium -ion batteries, and canned vegetables doubled. From January to May, Hubei Province's high-tech products exported 52 billion yuan, an increase of 34.1%, which was 7.4 percentage points higher than the province. From the perspective of export values, electromechanical products, labor -intensive products, and steel are the top three export products in Hubei Province, with exports of 80.65 billion yuan, 20.22 billion yuan, and 10.83 billion yuan, respectively, accounting for 51.2%of the province's total export value and 51.2%, respectively. 12.8%, 6.9%. During the same period, from the perspective of specific products, from January to May, the import demand for grain, coal and lignal, and fertilizer in Hubei Province was strong, and the import values ​​increased by 62.7%, 163.8%, and 91%, respectively.
