He Dongping, the chief designer of the China Oil and Dead Museum and a professor at the School of Food Science and Engineering of Wuhan Light Industry University, has a research result: refining edible oil from rice.

In 1977, when the college entrance examination was resumed, He Dongping, who was decentralizing in the countryside of Hanchuan, became the first college candidate. He was admitted to the oil and oil engineering department of the Grain and Oil Engineering Department of Zhengzhou Institute of Technology (now Henan University of Technology).

Three years later, 23 -year -old He Dongping entered an internship of a fat factory in Songjiang, Shanghai. At that time, Japanese rice bran refining technology was at the forefront of the world. He Dongping recalled that after watching a series of technical parameters, he "took a breath": "How did this do?"

At the end of the 1990s, with the improvement of people's living standards, people's requirements for edible oil were getting higher and higher, and the key technologies for breaking through rice oil processing were put on the agenda.

He Dongping and his innovation team began to attack. In order to solve the shelf life and nutritional retention of rice bran, it is necessary to test it with six indicators such as taking off acid, decolorization, dehydration, and dehydration, and there are dozens of subdivided projects in each indicator. The adjustment of the environment and a single parameter will affect other values.

Following He Dongping after reading the graduate student and then returning to the innovation team as the person in charge, I remembered that everyone in the team was soaked in the laboratory to record and analyze the data day and night.

In 2007, the edible oil manufacturer Yijialili built the rice oil processing plant in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang. He Dongping's team began to work together with the school and enterprises, walked through countless detours, did thousands of trials, and returned many times. "Exploration is like this, there is always a price." He Dongping said.

He Dongping, who is rarely wearing a formal dress, left a formal photo in the Hongshan Auditorium. On April 26, 2019, at the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Award and Scientific and Technological Innovation Promotion Conference, his key technological innovation and industrialization project of rice oil processing won the first prize in Hubei Province Science and Technology Progress. He Dongping said frankly that behind the years of research, behind a number of technical breakthroughs, the "good currency" successfully expelled the "inferior coins" and caused inferior oil to lose the market.
