As soon as the two were shot, they officially opened the research and development cooperation of academic and enterprises in the field of optoelectronic chip.

Why is it so difficult to develop a small chip?

Wu Yuanda once told Dahe Cai Cube reporter that the cost of chip technology in the early stage is very large. On the one hand, the chip production equipment has a large investment and high operating costs; on the other hand, the development cycle is long. It takes 3 to 5 years, or even longer. For ordinary enterprises, especially private enterprises, in addition to taking high R & D investment, it is also necessary to prepare for the risk of renewal iteration.

At the same time, many foreign optoelectronic chips have been very mature, and the existing technology gap sets a natural market barrier. How to leverage the original market is also the "blockbuster" that newcomers must encounter.

Fortunately, relying on the strong research and development foundation and technical accumulation of the Institute of Semiconductor Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, this "breakout war" has not been spent too long.

In the second year of the cooperation between the two parties, Shijia Photon officially released the PLC light divisions chip to become the first Chinese in China. At that time, it was the only company in China that could mass -produce the chip. The situation.
