Xiao Renyi: The Leader of the Hubei Uprising

Xiao Renyi was born in Huanggang, Hubei in 1899. He was admitted to the Zhonghua University Affiliated Middle School in 1917. He successively participated in the "Mutual Aid Society" and "Liqun Book Club" of the Organization of the Ying Dynasty and became backbone. Ying Daiying praised him "Yun Xun is sincere, and can be moving." In the autumn of 1921, he returned to Huanggang Chen Ceou's Juxing School to teach and participated in the Marxology Research Society of Chen Tanqiu and other organizations. He soon joined the Communist Party of China.

In 1924, Xiao Renyi came to the Huangpu Military Academy to study and went to Kaifeng and other places in Henan to engage in the peasant movement the following year. In 1926, he also led the establishment of the Qi County Farmers Association, organized farmers for armed forces, and was later selected as chairman of the Henan Farmers Association and party secretary of the party group. More than 100 revolutionary comrades detained. In March 1927, he was elected as a member of the Temporary Executive Committee of the National Farmers Association of China. Subsequently, he led a major victory in the Henan Qixian, Sui County, and Chenliu armed unrords, and strongly cooperated with the Northern Expedition. In June, he was the chief of staff of the 11th Division of the 11th Army of the National Revolutionary Army led by Ye Ting. He was ordered to return home to recruit recruits. First, he mobilized his three younger brothers to join the army. After the August 7th meeting, the Hubei Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China divided the province into 7 special zones according to the needs of the riots of the autumn harvest. Xiao Renyi was sent to the Honghu area as the Secretary of the Communist Party of China. In September of the same year, he participated in the riots of the peasant farmers of the Daijiachang Daijia, and served as the captain of the Hubei guerrillas. In December, he participated in the command of the riots to overcome the Puyang County, leading the establishment of the 5th Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army, and served as commander of the army.

In June 1928, Xiao Renyi was sent to Henan by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to serve as the secretary of the Henan Military Commission of the Communist Party of China. In November, he was arrested by the Kuomintang authorities in Kaifeng. Facing the rigorous confession of the enemy, he was always unyielding and not exposed the party's secrets. He once served as the secretary of the underground party branch in prison. He often uses Peking opera drama "The wind and rain are full of sorrows, why are you afraid of the revolution. After the outbreak of the September 18th Incident, he wrote a letter to his brother Xiao Min, encouraging him to encourage him in "the autumn of the country's many things, the autumn of the strong neighboring sword", "hard to learn" and "the ga is the society".
