Global Times: Taking the National Museum of China as an example, what changes have taken place in the construction of comprehensive museums in China in 110 years?

Chen Yusheng: During the development of the National Museum of China in 110 years, the biggest change should be the changes in venues brought by the museum and their social status. The predecessor of the National Museum of the National Museum of China was established in 1912. It was established in 1912. There were no funds, no personnel, and no fixed places. Chen Lusheng: Museums in some developed countries in the West are often established based on donations and collections, with a history of more than 300 years. The construction of Chinese museums is generally based on the data discovered by the original archeology. These unearthed cultural relics constitute the early collection of the museum. However, the number and category of this collection often cannot construct a large -scale museum collection system and the encyclopedia full -book museum system. At present, in order to enhance the image of the city, many provinces and cities have invested huge sums of money to build museums, but there are no supporting collection funds. Compared with huge venues, the collection is obviously insufficient.

Global Times: What problems do you think there are currently some domestic museum construction? Why does it appear?

Chen Yusheng: The core problem is homogeneity. The reasons behind homogeneity are many aspects, which may be the system level, the cognitive level of the museum, and the regularity of the operation. For example, the leaders of the construction of some regions lack their understanding of the museum. Excessive intervention makes museum construction in amateur and difficult to improve at the professional level. In the process of planning and design, public participation is generally lacking, so it cannot fully reflect the needs of cities and the public, let alone the relationship between the museum's collections and architecture. In the face of such problems, we need to have time and patience. On the basis of the general improvement of people's understanding of museums, we will jointly enhance the construction and development of the museum.

Museum is not a store

Global Times: At present, there are no shortage of "Internet celebrities" museums in China, and they boldly carry out innovation and development. What impact does this thinking have on the museum cause?

Chen Yusheng: The Internet Red Museum has certain help to improve the public's cognition of the cultural Expo industry, but it also has a considerable degree of harm. Some online celebrities have shifted the public's attention to the basic values ​​of the museum, and some so -called cultural and creative industries transferred the energy of many museums to buying and selling. The main business cannot be developed, and to fight chicken blood by "cultural and creative", it does not bring the professional improvement in the museum.

The museum is not a shopping mall or a store. The development of cultural and creative products should come from the needs of the museum itself. The construction and management of the museum must return to the essential laws of the museum. Only by strengthening the professional construction of the museum can we improve. If you want to attract more audiences, the museum should hold some eye -catching exhibitions, tap collection stories, find the connection between collections and academic knowledge, and also introduce some collections of other museums. In addition, the museum needs to do public services including catering, explanation, signs, etc., and increase attention to details. As a public cultural service agency, museums are particularly important to guide the public aesthetics. Therefore, the aesthetics of the museum itself are very important.

Chen Yusheng: Now, although the scale of many museum venues is large, there are relatively fewer personnel in the preparation, and there are more temporary personnel in outsourcing units. This has caused museum staff to be liquid, and it is difficult to improve as a whole.

At present, many museum audiences have not been affected in the public. This is related to the lack of the museum professional team to a certain extent. We need more professionals to play a role in various departments of the museum.
