Zhang Xu, a teacher of the School of Architecture of Southeast University, the founding partner and host of Xu Ke Architectural. He graduated from ETH (Zurich Federal University of Science and Technology) in 2008 and obtained a master's degree in architecture. The SIA (Swiss Engineer Architects Association) registered architect, a national first -level registered architect, and a member of the Chinese Architecture Society. During his work at the Buchner Bründler Office in Switzerland, he participated in the design of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo Swiss Pavilion and won the first prize of Shanghai Excellent Engineering Design in 2011. The main research directions are architectural design, building structure and construction. As a instructor, the Team Tu Braunschweig-Seu (Team Tu Braunschweig-Seu) won the third place in the 2018 China International Solar Energy Competition (Solar Decathlon China 2018). My partner, Ke Nan, is a classmate of Tongji University. Coincidentally, I went to Switzerland to study and work again after graduating from undergraduate. In 2010, I finished the World Expo Switzerland, and he just returned to China. Both were on their respective nodes. There will be differences from abroad to domestic. Especially when we return to China, we are catching up with China's rapid development. The economy has driven a lot of phenomena. Of course, the educational background of Switzerland is gradually nourishing our office. Trust and responsibility are two words written in front of Swiss legal clauses. Therefore, for others, we first have trust to communicate and cooperate. We need to start with ourselves and build a society full of harmony and trust. There are about twenty people in our firm. Many of our projects have changed. For example, this time is the art museum, and the next time it may be a parking building. The choice of structural types and materials will also be diversified, and it will not be done by one person alone. Therefore, we emphasize the spirit of independence and opening up, and at the same time, there are many opportunities to expose new things and new crowds.

When a group is designed to become a house under the long -term persistence of a group of people, it is still positive in most of its original intention, at least for us. What we want to do is to have unusual buildings, it is not very luxurious, but has a considerable quality. Therefore, we hope to use simple and common materials to create a "unusual" scene, but at the same time it has to be closely related to the specific venue or the pulse environment.

The design language is closely related to the design concept, and it can present a dialectical thinking between social costs and the quality of life they pursue. For example, in the homestay hotel projects such as Mogan Mountain Suli No. 3 Resort Hotel, Dalo Nomo, Jinxi, we can see how we use ordinary materials to create special space effects with ordinary materials, and Different from the vacation and residence experience of urban life.

And the Qinglongshan Multifunction Hall in Dingshu Town in 2019. It is a clear water concrete building. In such a small town, it can fully realize the design method that is almost very successful in the country, which is almost very successful in China, depending on the joint research and good cooperation of design and construction.

In fact, I think that design must first get my own recognition, and at the same time consider some basic problems, rather than just designing and building for their own ambitions. For the aesthetic or needs of non -professional people including residents, Party A, etc., designers need to use their own empathy ability to understand and deal with. Aspect. In terms of a certain attribute, architecture is a background and an environment. It is not a kind of object that requires you to pay attention or even interfere with you all the time. If a building can become a good background, it actually completes its own mission. For example, the Golden Eagle Art Museum, 10,000 square meters of space at a height of 200 meters, can see the appearance of 360 -degree urban areas and the Yangtze River in Nanjing. We do not need to take the internal design as a highlight of the focus, because the rich scenery of the continuous change of skylight cloud shadows is the most striking landscape. The scarce resource in design is actually the appearance and scene of the city itself.

Many people are now attracted by some split -type architectural concepts. But compared to the current architecture, I actually pay more attention to the early modern buildings. Because paying attention to these buildings itself is how architects who pay attention to the intercourse of the end of the 19th century to view tradition and future, in fact, we are the same as we are today. The architects of any era are inherited from the front and back. They must be affected by the present and look forward. Sometimes they may need to look back (a little far away). But many of our buildings and media live in the moment and follow the trend.

I have been thinking about transformation between tradition and modernity. I like to look back at the past. Some buildings are revolutionary, some buildings are benign, and it is closely related to the lives of the public. That feeling seems to be strolling on the beach with ebb, and can find a lot of shining shells and treasures. I think this is very meaningful.

Design space is actually the design scene and atmosphere. The scene and atmosphere are actually composed of a lot of details. For example, the spectacular Lin Haixueyuan in the Northeast, this atmosphere is not because of a tall tree, a beautiful cloud, or a certain snowflake, instead merged with these details, surrounded us, rendering a scene in the north.

The same is true of architecture. We need to control small factors and specific parts. At the same time, we need to integrate many specific parts into a whole to form a unique space atmosphere. Therefore, the atmosphere is an objective thing for us, a materialized process, not the result of nothingness.

For example, we are now doing the mine sources exhibition hall next to the Yixing No. 4 well. On the one hand, this exhibition hall reflects the local mineralization, and on the other hand, it shows the life related to mine. The more special point is that we also made an experiential small cable car that can be visited underground. It is actually a convergent mineral experience place that closely combines amusement, popular science, knowledge and life. It has a sense of flow, a sense of immersion.
