I have lived in Tsinghua Garden for ten years before and after, and my good reading environment has left a very deep impression on me. Although my degree and titles were obtained in foreign units, I was the most clear. The reading life of Tsinghua Garden gave me the most important source and motivation.

On January 23, 1982, the weather was a bit cold, but it was clear. That morning, I rode a bicycle and rushed from the east suburbs to Tsinghua to report with simple luggage. My work unit is the Literature and History Teaching and Research Group of the Propaganda Department. The leader at the time was Comrade Zhang Zhengquan, the editor -in -chief of "New Tsinghua". He led me to familiar with the working environment and asked me to disappoint. Although the work hall is very beautiful, it has nothing to do with us. The entire teaching and research group did not have its own site. With the same office as the editorial department of "New Tsinghua", there was almost no professional book. Thinking of his life in this environment in the future, he couldn't help but get cold. Later, after the efforts of Mr. Zhang Zhengquan, we found a cottage next to the toilet on the east side of the Gongchen Hall. Although the darkness was cold, we finally had our own office. Since then, we have begun a difficult entrepreneurial life. Without a reference book, Mr. Yan Xiuzhi, who was responsible for the work of the book, often led the only two young people in the teaching and research group -and I and I now taught Comrade Su Zhiyi who taught in the history department to buy books in the city. Soon, the collection of books has begun to take shape. The night of Tsinghua Garden is quiet and warm, full of hope. In the teaching and research room, I studied hard at night and sat in the book city. There was really an indescribable excitement in my heart. This is my first system of reading after I arrived in Tsinghua. The first text published in my life, "Follow the Times -The Monument to the Kingdom Monument", was seen in the newspapers more than half a year after graduation. It seems that this text is very immature, but I still value it. After all, it is the original achievement of my Tsinghua reading life.

Later, the teaching and research team moved to the union's college and adjacent to the editorial department of the school history. Thanks to Mr. Huang Yanfu, Sun Dunheng and others for their generous and selfless help, so that I have the opportunity to contact the information of Tsinghua school history. I have a more understanding of the construction of the Chinese Academy of Studies and the situation of the mentor. In the process of reading the history of the school, the "Buying Hangzhou Yang's Collection Report" written by Mr. Hong Youfeng, the director of the Tsinghua Library in the 1920s, attracted my special attention. Because of the unintentional collection, he was willing to transfer all. President Luo (referring to Luo Jialun, author's note) got the news when he was south, that is, the Council of Electricity. In these more than 40,000 books, 7 volumes of Songs, 24 volumes in the Song Dynasty, 4859 copies of Ming Dynasty, 40,495 volumes in other journals, and 2161 books. These collections named after "Fenghua Hall" constitute the foundation of the ancient book collection of Tsinghua University Library. The impact of this reading on me is too great. Since then, I have become a frequent visitor to the ancient book department of the library. When Comrade Zhang Zhengquan saw that I had a soft spot for the library, I sent me as a liaison to strengthen contact with the library. This provides extremely convenient conditions for my reading life. Thinking of this past, my heart is always full of missing comrades of the late Zhang Zhengquan.

This reading life in Tsinghua Garden changed my future learning direction.

Tsinghua Garden

When studying at the Chinese Department of Nankai University, I was influenced by two professors of Wang Dazin and Luo Zongqiang. I loved abnormalities in ancient Chinese literary theory and recited many famous works. However, due to the lack of basic skills, my research work is almost unsustainable. I just arrived in Tsinghua University. When the night was quiet, I often sat alone and thought hard, and I didn't know how to go in the future. Since I discovered the treasure of the Tsinghua Library, I am really like a soul, and my vision has suddenly opened up. For a while, classical literature became a discipline of my fascination. Just at this time, Professor Jiang Liangfu of Hangzhou University Institute of Ancient Books recruited a master's degree in classical literature. I did not hesitate to go to Jiang Lao's door without any hesitation. Jiang Lao is a graduate student of the Chinese Academy of Studies, Mr. Wang Guowei, and a college student of the encyclopedia. He seemed to care about my juniors from Tsinghua, and asked me to talk about Tsinghua several times a few times. I introduced him to the situation of Xinhua, and Jiang Laosan told me the old news about Tsinghua Garden in the 1920s and 1930s. He once said to me emotionally, "My foundation is given by Tsinghua. I really want to sit on the steps in front of the Tsinghua hall again and sit." That year, Jiang Lao was 85 years old. At that time, I was entrusted by the Tsinghua University Library, and asked Jiang Lao as the title of "Tsinghua University Library Collection". Jiang Laoshan agreed, and also presented a book "Hangzhou University Library Library" to Tsinghua University, and wrote on the title page in person: Farewell to his alma mater for 58 years, he has been in Beijing three in the middle, and he must live in the old trace. The school will be rebuilt, and the library also has a series of good books, so Jingzhai, Tongfang Department, Auditorium, Library, Gong Words, Science Museums and Wang, Liang, Chen, Zhao Zhu Shizhai, Mizuki Mizuki, Mizuki Mizuki Tsinghua all cares about it, and he can't bear it, and Mr. Haining's monument is often crying, such as sculpture, which is the place where his life is the largest.

The Hangzhou University Library also has good books, mainly in Yuhai Tower and Jiaye Hall. Yu Jian had several types of income. In the fight against the War, the people lost their sorrows in Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou.

I have made a lot of reading notes, and they have initially explored the path of learning. They also laid some foundations in the collation and research of ancient books. It was just that I did not expect to compile these reading notes and publish them. After Jiang Lao knew these situations, he encouraged me to write them into an article. In the future, whether I do a doctoral dissertation or the study of other topics, first of all, I start with the basic data, find out the version of the version, examine the author's age, and then comprehensively grasp the historical and cultural background of the time. Most of these basic research methods are slowly explored in ancient books in Tsinghua Library. Although my work has changed from time to time, I have seen a lot of libraries in the collection of books, but what I miss most is the reading life in Tsinghua Garden. Today, when I think of the Library of Tsinghua University and the reading life of Tsinghua Garden, I still have pilgrimage -like feelings from time to time.
