——Lijiashan Bronze Museum · Three Knight Copper Drums

Three Knight Tong Du was unearthed in the tomb 51, Lijiashan, Jiangchuan County, Yuxi City. It was an important ceremony used for sacrifice during the ancient Yunnan period. Experts determined its age as the treasure of the Town Pavilion collected by the Lijiashan Bronze Museum.

The three knight copper drums reflect the war status of the ancient Dian period. In a very realistic way, the three riders and a cow were described on the lid. Various accessories from beginning to end, the knight's helmet, earrings, clothing, and even the knight's expression is vivid and reflecting the dynamic aesthetics to the fullest. This "dynamic" also reflects the superb bronze casting technology of the ancient Yunnan Kingdom.

Most of the bronze wares represented by the three knight copper drums adopt realistic styles to clearly reproduce the customs of the ancient Yunnan Kingdom. They are not only precious arts, but also record the "epic" of the Bronze Culture of the ancient Dian Kingdom. We can live in modern times to glimpse the ancient Yunnan culture through bronze wares.
