From the century -old building to the landmark of online celebrities, the Wukang Building has become a masterpiece of Shanghai's "architecture readable".

In 1924, the Wukang Building designed by Hungarian architectural designer Midaq was completed. In the past century, Wukang Building has gone up in Shanghai's "Building Reading".

In March 2018, Shanghai launched an overhead line to enter the ground and co -rod work. The most busy transportation and the most complex underground pipeline Wukang Building was included in it. After some efforts, Wukang Building reproduced the Shulang Skyline nearly a century ago.

In 2019, Shanghai conducted a comprehensive repair of the Wukang Building, and all followed the style of the original building and the principles of the protection of international cultural heritage.

After a detailed verification of every brick and decorative details of the building, more than 10,000 sketches were formed, and more than 10,000 sketches were formed.

After changing the old appearance, the bottom of the shop on the bottom floor of the Wukang Building continued to optimize. A series of districts "micro -update" also connected the building with a number of maritime cultural landmarks around the surrounding area, further expanding the space and connotation of "building can be readable".

After five years of hard work, the scope of Shanghai's "building can be readable" has covered the city, with 1056 open buildings, and 2957 QR codes have been set. Reading, the neighborhoods can be strolled in the city, and the city's new concept of urban life has become the 10 million -level traffic entrance to Shanghai's urban tourism.
