Introduction to the event

The National College Student Machinery Innovation Design Contest is an older generation of mechanical disciplines represented by Academician Yang and the Ministry of Education ’s Basic Curriculum Teaching Points. Since 2002, it has advocated, launched and continued to promote competition projects. The National College Student Machinery Innovation Design Contest was approved for the college student competition project jointly funded by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance in 2007, 2008, and 2010. It is also the first competition for the "National College Contest Rankings".

The theme of this competition is "Nature · Harmony", which is the design and production of "bionic machinery" and "ecological repair machinery". The contest was officially launched in March 2021. It received a total of 5,972 provincial preliminary works participated in 704 universities, and the total number of works after cutting was 5,415. In view of the reasons for the new crown pneumonia, this national finals adopt the concentration of expert judges, and the students' online defense is carried out. Through online reports, physical demonstrations, design principles, and review design data, the final award -winning works were determined by the expert group. High levels of winning works and high gold content.

Competition process

The National College Student Machinery Innovation Design Contest is two years old. Although the preparation cycle is longer than other events, the preparation time of the robot team is only about half a year. The good results of the first prize in the country are inseparable from the hard work of the team instructor, and at the same time, the students are inseparable from the efforts of the students to give up the cold and summer vacation and weekend break.

In the early days of the preparation, it was the Spring Festival of the winter vacation. The four teams selected by the robot team had a total of 14 2020 students. Under the arrangement of Teacher Li Weiguo and Yang Xuejun, they were in full swing to make the competition deployment.

The first is the topic of choice. The beginning of everything is difficult. Because the requirements of the National College Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition are "physical competitions, mechanical combination, system training, and innovative applications", the topic determines the height of the work and the complexity of the work. The topic seminar was carried out for a month. Each group came up with a number of solutions. After repeated polishing research in many meetings, each group was finally determined.

However, various factors that have caused team members to be unable to return to school in advance. In order to start the real object as soon as possible, each member can only be built in the computer. During the holidays, everyone studied themselves during the day, and then held a discussion meeting on the competition late at night. After this simulation and discussion, the team completed most of theoretical preparations before the start of school.

After the official start of school, due to the impact of the epidemic, the preparation of competitions across the campus could not be achieved. Everyone actively used the existing venue (dormitory, outdoor, etc.) to prepare for this competition. Although the progress is slow, everyone insists that all the information is successfully submitted before the end of the competition.

After submitting the information, the team began to conduct simulation and defense exercises at the second floor conference room of the Taiyuan University of Technology's engineering training center.

In the summer, as the national competition further arrived, the team members gave up the entire holiday and stayed in school to prepare for this national competition. On the hot summer, mosquito bite and heavy rain pour can not stop the team members' enthusiasm for the competition. They have gone through countless hard work efforts of day and night. They have seen the Huyu campus at 3 am, and have seen each other in the laboratory. The face overcomes the differences between theory and practice. Finally, after hard work, they must be successful, they finally achieved such good results! In addition to the first prize of this contest, during the preparation of the competition, the team members' thinking ability, hands -on ability, and team cooperation ability have been greatly improved. In the robot team, they learned the concept of "being a person first, then doing things", and learned the powerful power of teamwork.
