What are the special experiences in the creative process?

I have been studying and working in school for more than ten years. I do n’t know how many times I have gone through Weiming Lake and Boya Tower. Once recalling, the spring, summer, autumn, winter, cloudy rain, snow and snow, day and night change ... one by one will be "stacked" in front of my eyes. Different time and space and different perspectives are concentrated into this moment, moving with chanting. It sounds a little illusory scene, but the real existence in my mind.

Behind this song is to try to be close to a lake and tower that is inaccessible, with a spiritual residence, so that the scenes blends, time and space are intertwined, and their thoughts are rolling up with the music. Deep in love, it is also true and fantasy, like a garden in a dream.

For many years for Peking University, how do you feel this time?

In the past works, I did not participate in the creative process of the author of the word. I usually just adjust the individual words according to the melody direction. This time, in order to better integrate the image and aesthetics in my mind, I also set off from the needs of music. The original word author Shang Zhe spent a week to communicate repeatedly, sorting the context, adjusting the words, and finally formed the current cooperation. Version. Thanks to Shang Zhe's words, and thank her for paying and recognizing her partner version again.

This time, I was originally expected to be a relatively casual interactive creation. I never thought that it was "deeper and deeper". After several changes, a structured song was formed. However, due to the limited time, it was too late to carry out complicated arranging, and I wrote the piano version first, and the slow work was made without losing the feeling. This edition was sung by the alumni Gu Yixuan, and another alumni Xie Shiqi performed the piano (keyboard) and thanked.

What is the plan to create music in the future?

I have written a lot about graduation and parting songs. From the beginning of school, when I graduated almost every year, I was busy composing. I do n’t know why, the parting text is like a long leg, I can always find me, maybe I am really a more nostalgic person.

I have graduated for a long time, and I may not write a graduation song easily in the future. In recent years, I have been exploring different music forms and creative directions. There are also some relatively successful attempts, but it has not been defined for myself.

What do you want to say to Peking University?

The influence and shaping of Peking University on me are invisible. I can't feel the change in it. After going out, others may feel that you are "very Peking University" in some aspects. What is this specific is actually difficult to say clearly. As far as music is concerned, there are many musicians in Peking University, each with its own characteristics, but it can also be said to be "very Peking University." In conclusion, Peking University may light up some of our own values, let us see our own expression and direction. This is very important: creation is not just about theory and technology. Those are just means, and expression is the purpose. When I feel at Peking University, I also wish that graduates can take their own future.

Where does the creative inspiration come from?
