X -ray, CT, magnetic resonance, which one can see you more "through" you?

"Doctor, can I just make X film?"

"Have you done CT, do you have to do magnetic resonance?"

"It's not good to eat too much radiation, can you do it?"

Native

At present, imaging examination has become more and more popular in clinical applications, but people's understanding of these inspections is still aware of.

Looking at the inspection items on the single, what is the difference between X -ray, CT, and magnetic resonance? Will you not find any problems but radiate your body? What do you do before so many inspections?

Today, experts from Henan Cancer Hospital Medical Imaging Department interpret these inspections in detail ~

CT is clearer than X -ray?

X -ray is a large energy electromagnetic wave, which has a strong penetration power for human tissue structure.

However, the density of various tissue structures of the human body, the amount of absorption during X -ray penetration is different, a "film" with black and white gray and clearly layered.

It includes ordinary X -ray cameras, computer X -ray photography systems (CR), digital X -ray photography system (DR), which can diagnose the body's chest, abdomen, lumbar spine, limbs and other parts.

The weakness of the X -ray is lacking specificity. For example, after X -ray found that the lungs have shadows, what is the cause of this shadow? Is it tuberculosis? Is it ordinary inflammation? Or tumor?

At this time, CT must be "played".

Xu Chunmiao introduced that the volume scan of CT determines its advantages in distinguishing ability. It can be used for various organs disease examinations, such as head, chest, abdomen, and skeletal system. , Chest and skeletal system, have the diagnostic value that cannot be replaced by other examination methods.

In fact, X -rays are also used in CT tablets.

The difference between the two is that the X -ray is sitting on the stand, the arms outside or holding the head ... take any poser to take any photos, and the image is equivalent to ordinary photos.

The CT is the "cut" of the photographer horizontally into a unified thickness and unified spacing. After the radiation penetration is penetrated, a similar and different image is left.

These fault images are reconstructed by computers, and doctors can grasp the patient's condition in three dimensions when reading the film.

However, because the CT radiation dose (usually about 2 ~ 10MSV) is larger than the X -ray, if the suspicious lesion images are found on X -rays, it is not recommended that the patient's CT examination will be given to the reinforcement assistance.

Is it harmful to the body after making magnetic resonance?

Qu Jinrong said that magnetic resonance is the process of transmitting a radio frequency pulse with the same frequency of hydrogen proton in the human body through energy transmission, and then stops the frequency pulse. When collecting the specified time point of the image, the hydrogen in different tissues generates signal strength differences to form images. The entire process does not have radiation hazards.

However, due to the changes in the magnetic field, some people will form this kind of acupuncture and dizziness, and some people will cause fever due to absorbing energy. These reactions are excessive. Essence

The lesions are super clear. These diseases must be rely on it

"The higher the strength of the magnetic resonance field, the clearer the display of the micro lesions, and the greater the effect of the clinic. The highest field strong in clinical application is 3.0T." Qu Jinrong said.

In terms of magnetic resonance routine, the whole body can be done. Doctors will choose according to clinical needs, such as cervical cancer, rectal cancer, and liver cancer before treatment is magnetic resonance examination.

In addition, since 2014, we have taken the lead in applying new technologies of magnetic resonance to the esophagus globally, which can better evaluate some esophageal lesions with unclear stages and unknown nature.

In terms of magnetic resonance in the esophagus, it has also achieved very good scientific research results, including the rewriting of the CSCO esophageal cancer diagnosis and treatment guide in 2020, and won the second prize of Henan Province Science and Technology Progress, and the National Natural Science Foundation project.

Other inspections are very fast. Why is the magnetic resonance a bit slow?

In the waiting area of the radiology department, people always hear people "vomiting" from time to time: why is the magnetic resonance check so slow?

Qu Jinrong said that this is because the magnetic resonance must work in a very stable magnetic field environment. At present, the effective length of the equipment magnetic protection is 35 ~ 40 cm. Duan images are deformation, which affects the diagnosis.

Secondly, the inspection site is different, and the scan parameters and sequences adopted are different, that is, the scanning technology used is different, so the multi -parts of the image can be collected continuously at the same time. At present With the improvement of the performance of the machine, a faster multi -part scan can be completed.

Is it better to do magnetic resonance directly?

Although magnetic resonance does not have radiation and can diagnose many diseases, it has a longer scanning time and a long waiting time. In addition, such as stomach and intestinal diseases, the cooperation of endoscopic examinations is still needed to help the diagnosis of the disease.

In short, the same imaging examination, X -ray, CT, and magnetic resonance have their own advantages. No one is better than anyone else. Only the disease to be checked is more suitable for which one is more suitable.

Specific to each patient, which examinations need to be more suitable, or professional doctors need to be comprehensively judged according to different conditions, and some diseases need to be compared after treatment or conditional changes. It may need to be reviewed to determine the subsequent treatment plan. There is also a sequence of inspections

In order to diagnose and evaluate the condition more accurately, clinicians will issue a series of examinations according to the patient's situation and related diagnosis and treatment specifications, but what do you do first and what to do? It will cause a lot of confusion to patients.

Wang Lifeng introduced that the examination of doctors generally divided into blood drawing tests, image examinations, and endoscopic examinations. It is recommended that the first step is to take blood test tests, because many times the blood drawing test requires an empty stomach, followed by image examination. If At the same time, there is a enhancement of CT or magnetic resonance and hepatobilized spleen spleen (generally required patients to perform on an empty stomach). It is recommended that patients first ultrasonic examination, followed by CT and magnetic resonance examinations; ; But if there are CT enhancement and magnetic resonance enhancement at the same time, it is recommended to enhance CT before magnetic resonance enhancement; if there are endoscopic examinations or other puncture examinations, it is recommended to put these at the end.

Of course, the above is probably the case. It is best to consult a doctor of the relevant departments before checking.
