A report released by a volunteer group composed of experts in Canada on August 17, local time, showed that the epidemic data caused by the mutant strain of Omiko, Canada, including hospitalization and death, was seriously underestimated.

The report data shows that since December 2, 2021, the average number of residents and intensive guardians and deaths caused by the mutant strain in Omiroko, Canada is much higher than that of official reports. According to the number estimated by the report, the total number of inpatient cases of Canada infected with the Omikon mutant strain was about 162,000 cases, 67,000 more than 95,000 cases reported, and the difference between the two was 70%. The total number of severe custody and death cases estimated by the report was 14400 and 22,200 cases, respectively, 3263 cases and 7,450 cases than the official figures, respectively, with a difference of 29%and 51%, respectively.

The report estimates that 20.3 million people in Canada have been infected with Omikon, accounting for 53%of the total population. Among them, 59%of infected people are under 40 years old.

Tara Moriarty, a member of the group and the University of Toronto infected diseases, said "providing the public to the public is crucial."

According to reports, the project began in March 2020 and was funded by the Canadian Public Health Agency. Participants include scientists, medical care professionals, and online developers. They collected and sorted out data from different sources, including provincial databases and Information of the Canadian Bureau of Statistics.
