A tourist was arrested in Greece because the reason was suspected of splitting of Yugoslav 30 years ago

The Greek police recently arrested a 59 -year -old Serbian man because the man was wanted by the Croatian authorities for suspected of committing war in Yugoslavia's division in 1991.

The Greek police said that the unknown man entered the border between Greece and North Malaysia on June 27 and was arrested after a resort with his wife and daughter to a resort in northern Greece.

After the arrest, the man claimed to be the enlistment of the Yugoslav army, but denied any improper behavior.However, according to the background information, the man was accused of participating in military operations that caused civilians to die in Croatian Town Vocin and Hum from August 19, 1991 to December 14, 1991.

The man has been taken to Casaroniki, northern Greece, waiting for trial.A three -person judge group will review Croatia's request to extradite this man.The group is expected to hold a meeting to discuss related matters next week.(Cai Ling)
