100%sustainable aviation fuel

On June 21, Pratt & Whitney Canada carried out 100%sustainable aviation fuel flight test, and the test was successful.

Hydrogen power

Hydrogen -powered aircraft is also part of the net zero -carbon emissions plan. It is now predicting that it will be used more for short -distance routes. Earlier this year, Airbus signed a cooperation agreement with the CFM International Corporation to jointly launch a hydrogen demonstration project around 2025. The project aims to conduct ground and flight testing of hydrogen fuel engines, and prepares a zero -emission aircraft into use by 2035. They will use an Airbus A380 to test the aircraft as the flight test platform to equip the Airbus's liquid hydrogen can. Airbus will also be responsible for formulating the requirements for hydrogen promotion systems, supervising the flight test, and providing the A380 platform to test the hydrogen fuel engine during the cruise stage. In order to use hydrogen fuel operation, CFM International will transform the combustion room, fuel system and control system of the GE Passport engine. The engine assembled in the United States is selected for its size, advanced turbine machinery and fuel liquidity. It will be installed on the rear body of the flight test platform to monitor the emissions of the engine (including the tail) and the emissions of the engine that provides power for the aircraft. CFM will complete a large number of ground tests before the A380 flight test.
