Philip Rogs, a senior researcher at the French think tank strategic research foundation, said in an interview that compared with traditional interception methods, laser anti -UAV technology has its own advantages.

"One of them is that compared with the interception missile, it does not involve explosives. Even if the drone explodes, it will only fall. In general, the damage it brings is less." Rogs said.

Moreover, according to Rogs, the cost of laser anti -drone system is relatively low, which can fill some technical gaps of traditional anti -UAV equipment.

According to the Xinhua News Agency, during the Tokyo Olympics, in order to prevent drone terrorist attacks, the Japanese police set up a monitoring system specifically for drones around the Olympic venue. It is understood that after capturing the signal issued by the drone, the system can lock the position and height of the drone as soon as possible, and the police use the existing technology to capture suspicious drones.
