Recently, Luxembourg has held the National Day Festival celebration. Eight outstanding people including Chinese table tennis players and 59 -year -old Shanghai aunt Ni Xialian have been awarded the Luxembourg government commendation medal.

For 30 years, Ni Xialian has played 5 times on behalf of Luxembourg to play the Olympic Games and appeared on the podium in the World Table Tennis Championships to create the history of Luxembourg table tennis. According to reports, Ni Xialian was awarded the "Chavenlier" medal (Oak Crown Medal) to recognize her outstanding contribution to Luxembourg sports.

In the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships in November last year, Ni Xialian partnered with De Nutt all the way to cut off, and finally harvested the women's double bronze medal. This was not only the 58 -year -old Ni Xialian at that time won the World Table Tennis Championship after 36 years, but also the first women's medal in Luxembourg history.
