Recently, the China Taekwondo Association announced the list of 34 athletes of the National Taekwondo Team Training. Putian athlete Xie Yifan was selected and will participate in the National Taekwondo Youth Training Team for the International Youth Tournament in 2022.
Xie Yifan, male, born in Putian Meizhou Island in 2005, entered the Putian Sports School in 2020, and was selected into the Fujian Provincial Sports Team in April 2021.
In 2022, the national Taekwondo Youth Elite Collection Camp Fighting Selection and Exchange Competition was the first to fight against Japan. The city's Taekwondo athlete Xie Yifan won the second place in 51 kg and successfully selected the National Youth Training Team of Taekwondo.
