On July 7, 2022, the first instance of the Tai'an Intermediate People's Court in Shandong Province opened a court trial and tried the case of Li Wenxi, a member of the former party group and vice chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Political Consultative Conference. The Tai'an People's Procuratorate sued accusations: From 2004 to 2021, the defendant Li Wenxi used the convenience of the party committee secretary, director and deputy chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, vice chairman of the Chinese Police Association, etc. The convenient conditions formed by status are helping others in terms of evasion of criminal investigation, enterprise production and operation and processing of mining procedures, and illegally receiving property is equivalent to more than RMB 546 million.

During the trial, the public prosecution agency presented relevant evidence. The defendant Li Wenxi and his defender conducted a qualitative certificate. The two parties of the prosecution fully expressed their opinions under the auspices of the court. Li Wenxi made a final statement and expressed his confession. Finally, the court announced the off court and pronounced it.

More than 30 people from the People's Congress, members of the CPPCC, journalists and people from all walks of life listened to the trial.
