Our newspaper, Beijing, July 18th. Reporter Deng Hui learned from Tsinghua University that the international team led by Professor Zhu Wei, the Department of Astronomical Department of the school, discovered two rare star systems. This type of system is composed of two central stars around each other, surrounded by an unusual gas and dust disk, and the orbit of the disk and the central star has a certain angle, showing the fantasy effect of "fog around the two stars".

According to reports, the two newly discovered celestial bodies were named Bernhard-1 and Bernhard-2, and the relevant research results have been published online online in the "Celestial Physics Magazine Express".

Because the double star and its original star disk are condensed from the same huge rotation nebula, the disk is usually located on the same plane as the stars -just like the orbit of most planets and satellites in our solar system is located on the same plane on the same plane Same. However, there is a rare double star system. Among them, the orbital plane of the two stars and the track plane of the stars becomes a certain angle. Due to this tilt, the original star disk will swing like a gyro. This movement is called progress.

"When they progress, the original planets moved between us and the stars, and in the units of decades, the light of the center stars darkened. The total brightness of the two stars will change cyclical changes, producing a unique light of light Change the curve. "Zhu Wei introduced that before this study, Kearns Herbst 15D (KH 15D) was the only system known to have these characteristics.

The instrument of Ziwei's Instantaneous Instant Facilities (ZTF) conducts a inspection of the entire northern sky every two days to provide long -term data for countless celestial studies. In the analysis of data from ZTF, amateur astronomer Klaus Bernhard found two candidates similar to KH 15D. He and Dr. J. J. Zaazzi, Michael Poon and Michael Poon of the University of Toronto shared his discovery content, and then three scholars analyzed the KH 15D in detail. After further investigation and observation, the system discovered by Bernhard was indeed a powerful candidate for the KH 15D system.

Zhu Wei introduced that Bernhard-1 was in a dark state every 192 days, and Bernhard-2 was in a dark state for 20 days every 62 days. From the perspective of the earth, these declines indicate that a star of each double star is moving behind the disc. When the star reappears, the brightness of the system returns to normal.

"Since the original star plate is the birthplace of the planet, it is found that this rare and strange system is of great significance for us to understand the formation of the planet." Zhu Wei said that these two double -star systems are 3,000 light years from the earth to 10,000 light years. Fans with a caliber telescope with a caliber of 20 cm or more than 20 cm can see their brightness changes, but unfortunately, the existing telescopes cannot distinguish between the double stars and the original stars.

The members of Zhu Wei's leading team include two European amateur astronomers and researchers from the California Institute of Technology, the Zijin Mountain Observatory, the University of Toronto and Peking University, Zang Weixu, a 2017 doctor of Astronomical University of Tsinghua University, and the 2018 Graduate Graduate Tianjun also participated in it.
