World Games enter "Chengdu Time"

On July 17, local time, the closing ceremony of the Eleventh World Games was held at the "protecting life" stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, USA. With the head of the Chengdu delegation Yang Shenwei, on behalf of Chengdu, the Chengdu received the flag of the International World Games Association, the World Games officially entered the "Chengdu Time".

At the closing ceremony, the warm -up literary performance, wonderful review, drone performance, admission ceremony, guest speech and other links ushered in the flag -receiving ceremony and "Chengdu Time" literary display. At the flag -picking ceremony, the International World Games Association's flag was connected to Chengdu, China from Birmingham. Subsequently, Chengdu, as the next city of the World Games, presented a large -scale performance of "Chengdu Time".

The "Chengdu Time" literary display is based on the four seasons of autumn, winter, spring, and summer. With the transformation of the four seasons, it echo the changes in elements such as music, dance, and light visual effects. The "autumn" that means harvest and achievement shows the beautiful park city under the beautiful video screen. "Winter" shows the legendary protection of the Sun God Bird in the form of a solo dance. In the vigorous "spring" chapter, the various competitions of the World Games are perfectly combined with the daily life and sports of Chengdu people. The enthusiasm and vitality of "Xia" are displayed in the Laqiao street dance actor Dou dancing in the scene of Chengdu landmarks presented with Birmingham and video. Finally, in the sound of "Friendship Land", people from all walks of life from Chengdu warmly welcomed friends all over the world to Chengdu. The panda puppet image of the panda puppet is also interspersed from time to time, interacting with the audience, and issued to the world. In 2025, China meets the invitation of Chengdu and "Welcome to chengdu".

From July 7th to 17th, there were 34 major events, 58 sub -items, and 223 small items from July 7 to 17. A total of more than 3,600 athletes from more than 100 countries and regions participated.

On May 9, 2019, at the 2019 Congress of the International World Games Association held at the Australian Gold Coast, Chengdu obtained the right to host the 12th World Games in 2025.
