Sino -Russian natural gas large -caliber pipeline projects that can pass through Mongolia and have an annual output can reach 50 billion cubic meters, and new news came.

Before the upgrading of Russia and Ukraine's conflict, some foreign media had regarded this pipeline project as an important signal of Russia's "natural gas to" China, rendering its "challenge to Europe."

Despite the continuous changes in the global situation, Mongolia officials have recently estimated that it will start to break through the construction in 2024.

For the Sino -Russian natural gas pipeline project, Mongolian state -owned confidence

According to the British "Financial Times" reported on July 18, Mongolia estimates that Russia will begin the construction of the "Siberian Power 2" natural gas pipeline project passing through Mongolia and China in two years. Connect with Asia.

Mongolian Prime Minister Ao Yun Erden told the Financial Times that "the feasibility study of the project has been completed, and we believe that construction will begin in 2024." The final route through Mongolia is still "discussion". Although the Russian Natural Gas Industry Co., Ltd. (GAZPROM, hereinafter referred to as "Russia") plans to turn the focus to Asia, Russia has not obviously pressured, requiring to accelerate the construction of this pipeline project.

According to the article, in 2019, Mongolia signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia to explore the "Siberian Power 2" pipeline project and pass the territorial transport of up to 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas each year. The 2600 -kilometer pipeline is expected to be put into use around 2030. Some people in the industry believe that, given that Russia needs to find the market for its energy supply, this project may be implemented in advance. The transit fee of the pipeline will also help the development of the Mongolian economy that is severely hit by the new crown pneumonia.

Ao Yun Erde said that, thanks to a new railway to China, he expects that the Mongolian economy will strengthen this year. These railways will be used to transport commodities such as coal and copper. With the expansion of the development of a large copper mine in the Gobi Desert, it is expected that copper exports will increase significantly in the next few years.

According to British media, in the future of Russia and Ukraine's conflict and Russia facing the loss of the European natural gas market, the "Siberian Power 2" project is crucial. It will connect the Siberian natural gas fields that supply Europe with China, and the latter's natural gas demand is increasing.

Alexeimiller, CEO of Russia, said that China will become the most important customer of its future.

"Russian Qi Turn to China" and "China Turn to Russia"

Interestingly, the British and American countries once blocked Russia's "Beixi-2" that Russia's gas supply to Europe, while trying to hype "Sino-Russian New Pipeline endangers Europe."

In December last year, a US media claimed that Moscow's "natural gas turned to" China and challenged European Europe. Russia will finalize the second natural gas pipeline project agreement to bring natural gas from Siberia to China in 2022. This is known as "Siberian Power 2" and after being completed through Mongolia's large -caliber pipeline project, it will complement each other with another project "Siberian Power No. 1". Energy analysts and Western diplomats said that this is another stage of Moscow's rapid progress to Asia.

"Nikkei Asia" analyzes that China has shifted to Russia's natural gas to reduce its dependence on member states for "Sifang Safety Dialogue" in the United States, Japan, and Australia.

Japanese media said that in order to no longer rely on the natural gas supply of the United States, Australia and other countries, China is actively promoting new pipeline projects to increase imports from Russia.

China and Russia signed a 30 -year natural gas supply agreement in 2014. Russia supply gas to China through the "Siberian power" pipeline (that is, the China -Russia East Line), and the gas transmission volume increased year by year, and eventually reached 38 billion cubic meters per year. In December 2019, gas supply began.

On February 4, Russia issued a statement saying that with PetroChina signed a long -term supply agreement with PetroChina, supplying natural gas to China via the Far East route. After the project reaches all capacity, Russia's natural gas supply to China pipeline will increase by 10 billion cubic meters, with a total amount of 48 billion cubic meters per year.

"This is the second natural gas supply contract signed by Russia and China." Alexese Miller said that the move reflects the extremely powerful mutual trust partnership between China and Russia and the two companies.
