According to the "American Fish and Wildlife Report", the first pair of bald eagles arrived at the National Sequoia National Park on May 3, 2022. These four bald eagles are between the age of two to four, which is usually the age they go out of their parents. According to "National Geography", California Bald Eagle is the largest bird in North America. Their height is nearly 1.4 meters, and the wingspan is 3 meters. Bald eagles are carnivores. They are mainly eaten by the corpses of death mammals. They can weigh 14 kg and the flying height can reach 4,572 meters.

Tiana Williams Claussen, the head of the Yurok wild animal department, explained in a statement that because Yurok has a "deep cultural connection", bald eagles have been the primary goal of their introduction since 2003.
