In May 2018, he joined the University of Public Health and the School of Public Health and Neurology of the University of California. In November 2020, he joined the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen Bay Laboratory.

Guo Tengfei's work is the brain that everyone has, but the naked eye. He tried to detect a signal of abnormal brain recession 10-20 years ago through the most advanced imaging technology.
At present, the early onset characteristics of Alzheimer ’s Disease (AD) are not clear, and lack of effective intervention and treatment methods, so it is still a world -class medical problem. "This is why I was urgent to return to China -to establish a database for the study of nerve images and biomarkers used to study early AD diseases."
Before returning to China, Guo Tengfei had engaged in scientific research at the University of California, Berkeley. Guo Tengfei hopes to use his care to provide scientific solutions for early testing and treatment of AD diseases in my country.

Since studying overseas in 2013, I have been studying and working abroad for more than 7 years. In the process, I am always preparing and looking forward to the scene of returning home, hoping to contribute to the health cause of the motherland with my professional knowledge.
With the continuous improvement of my country's economy and medical level, the average life expectancy of the population has increased year by year, the nerve recession brain disease facing the aging population in my country is becoming increasingly severe. The domestic research on early AD is still in its infancy, and many important issues need to be explored and solved urgently.
Cerebral spine or plasma biomarkers, Aβ and TAU protein PET imaging technology are the world's most cutting -edge technologies in the world. When I learned about the country's urgent need of professional talents in this field, I resolutely decided to resign from the research of the University of California, Berkeley, and return to China to invest in this great and glorious cause.
