Another satellite of Mars is Deimos (Demos), with an average radius of only about 6.2 kilometers. The two satellites are named after the two sons of the God of War in ancient Greek mythology. The Greeks once called Mars with Ares. These two satellites are irregular small celestial bodies. Many scientists believe that they are captured into the Mars orbit by Mars gravitational, but their sources are still controversial.
