According to reports, starting in May 2021, the Nangang Industrial Zone has taken the lead in the preparation of the "Low -Carbon Energy Comprehensive Utilization Plan" in the national chemical park, based on the industrial development and energy resource endowment of the district, from energy saving and consumption reduction and green energy development Starting in both aspects, the planning of various resources such as photovoltaic, cold energy, hydrogen energy, residual heat, and geothermal geothermal provides guidance and basis for the construction of low -carbon energy projects in the Nangang Industrial Zone during the "Fourteenth Five -Year Plan" and "15th Five -Year Plan" period. The "Comprehensive Utilization Plan for Low -Carbon Energy in the Nangang Industrial Zone" is expected to be compiled by the end of this year and officially announced it.

At the same time, the Nangang Industrial Zone actively promoted a number of national leading energy conservation and consumption reduction and green energy project construction. China ’s largest maritime photovoltaic project, Sinopec 1.2 million tons of ethylene, is equipped with 260MW photovoltaic projects. It is planned to start construction in early 2023. After production, the power generation has been generated about 300 million kWh and the annual reduction of carbon dioxide exceeds 240,000 tons. China ’s largest seawater desalination project — Xianda Nangang 150,000 tons of seawater desalination project. With the support of development, reform, water, and environmental protection departments at all levels in Tianjin, it has successfully passed the demonstration of strong seawater discharge experts. After the project was completed in June 2023, It will meet most industrial water needs of the park.
