Guangzhou Zengcheng Feiquan Cave Cliff Stone Carvings selected for the provincial list!

Recently, the people's government of Guangdong Province announced the tenth batch of Guangdong cultural relics protection units. One place was selected in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, and was selected in Feiquan Cave Cliff Caishava in Guanghui Village, Guanjiang Street in the cave temple and stone carvings.

Feiquan cave cliff stone carvings, also known as Qu Shuliu Cup cliff stone carvings, are located on the cliff wall behind Hulangpu Natural Village, Guanghui Village, Zengcheng District, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. There are water ponds in the mountains in the south of the mountain, cliffs beside the pond, and the streams enter from a high place.

"The past and present life" of Feiquan Cave Cliff Stone Carvings

According to the "Zengcheng County Chronicle" of the Republic of China: During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Ge Hong (Ge Xianweng) came here to collect medicines to refine Xian Dan. Since then, more gentlemen have come to play. They have left Gexian Temple, Guan Muling Stone, Drinking Cup, or Poetry or Leave a notes, leaving many cultural relics such as cliff stone carvings.

There are 10 text stone carvings on the cliff, including 3 North Cliffs and 7 South Cliffs, each of which is self -contained. Among them, there are 6 years, and 4 are 4 years (part of the text have been disabled). Among the stone carvings of the year, the earliest engraved in the four years of Xining (1071) in Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty, and the latest engraved in the Qianlong Chong Chongnian (1781) in the Qing Dynasty (1781). The text of the year and Wanli Renzi, a total of 710 years in 5 dynasties. There are various types of fonts such as regular script, script, grass, and Lishu. There are seven -character poems and five -character poems.

The cliff carvings of Feiquan Cave for nearly a thousand years are basically intact. It is the earliest existing batch of cliff stone carvings in Guangzhou. It has precious cultural relics value. It was announced in July 2002 as the cultural relics protection unit in Guangzhou.

In addition, most of the existing stone carvings in Feiquan cave cliffs are well preserved. There are a few cliff stone carvings that are blurred by the surface weathering, and the local cliff stone carvings are destroyed.

In order to do a good job in the protection of historical and cultural protection, Zengjiang Street took multiple measures, continuously promoted the protection and utilization of cultural relics resources, enriched the protection and utilization of content and form, and strived to make Feiquan Cave cliff stone carved new vitality. Focusing on the "protection, rescue first, reasonable use, and strengthen management" cultural relics protection work policy, Zengjiang Street launched the Flying Spring Cave Cliff Stone Carvings Protection Project (Phase I). It is planned to be completed in mid -August 2022. Cultural relics are rejuvenated.
