According to Reuters Tokyo, a poll released on July 31 showed that the Japanese who were slightly over half of the Japanese opposed the national funeral for the former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

A survey conducted by Kyodo News from July 30th to 31st showed that about 53%of the respondents expressed their opposition to hold national funerals for Abe, surpassing the proportion of supporters (45%).
