Wei Qingwen: I came to Taiwan in 1999 because of getting married.

Wei Qingwen: At first, I was very unaccustomed, especially the diet here was sweet and not used to eating. I often miss the taste of my hometown, but I can't find the food in my hometown like snail powder at all.

Polar News: How to solve these problems?

Wei Qingwen: I can't stay for too long. Basically, I returned to Liuzhou once in less than two months. When I go back, let go of my luggage as soon as possible, and go to eat a snail powder; if I come back from Liuzhou, I will also eat a snail powder and go.

Wei Qingwen: I started preparations in 2008. I had not sold it at the beginning. I just did it by myself and shared some for others to eat. Some colleagues in my husband's units felt delicious after eating, and asked me, "Why don't you sell such delicious things?" In 2010, with the support of everyone, I opened the store, the first to drive near the husband's unit, and later moved to Guangzhou Road because of demolition.

Wei Qingwen: Because Taiwan's diet is relatively light, I have continued to improve the snail powder from the beginning. For example, the local soup pot in Liuzhou is very spicy, with a layer of red oil. The soup pot is not spicy, not so greasy, not so salty, and not so "stinky". It will also combine the taste of the locals with the taste of Liuzhou. For example, if you like to eat beef, braised large intestine, etc., you will prepare these marinated vegetables and add them in powder.

Wei Qingwen: Yes. In the beginning, the customers on Taiwan could not accept the "smelly", so they improved. Now I found that the young people here can accept it and prefer it. In September, a new store was about to open. At that time, I planned to add a little snail powder.

Wei Qingwen: Sell well. We usually open the door at 11 am and close the door at 9 pm. In addition to the worst epidemic, the diners in the store began to line up at 12 o'clock.

Wei Qingwen: Someone came from Taichung, Hualien, and Yunlin. Many hometown people cry for the first time to eat. There are four mouths from Guangxi who come to Taiwan almost every week. After more than ten years, they have been here for more than ten years, at least once a week.

Jimu News: How long have you not returned to Liuzhou?

Wei Qingwen: Because of the epidemic, I haven't returned to Liuzhou for a long time. The Spring Festival in 2020 returned to Liuzhou. At that time, the epidemic began to be serious. After returning to Taiwan for two days, I returned to Taiwan. Now I miss my hometown very much. Because I can't leave for too long, as long as I don't need to isolate, I will definitely go back to buy a ticket overnight. I have never returned to my hometown for so long, and I had to return to at least once or twice a year.

Wei Qingwen: a lot. Many tourists from the mainland have made a special trip to eat powder. Earlier, there were also people who came to eat powder during inspection. Because my snail powder shop has also been reported in the United States, Australia and other countries, there are also tourists who come to me in these countries.
