The Somali federal government reiterated its firm support for China's sovereignty, political independence, territorial integrity, and national unity, and called for adherence to the relevant United Nations and African Union resolutions.
The Somali Federal Government announced that it fully supported the People's Republic of China to defend its national sovereignty and territorial integrity, confirmed its firm position for respecting a Chinese policy, and regarded Taiwan Bay as an inseparable part of China's territory.
Somalia has a long history of relations with China. Two friendly countries not only coordinate their positions in regional and international stages, but also have a very prominent mutual benefit and cooperation in politics, economy, and development.(Source: Somali Embassy)
