At present, the safe operation indicators of nuclear power plants are continuously improved and ranked in the international advanced ranks.

Wang Shoujun, chairman of the Chinese Nuclear Society, said at the opening ceremony that after more than 30 years of development, my country's nuclear power technology has made great progress. At present, my country already has the third -generation nuclear power technology of "Hualong One" and "Guohe No. 1". The research and development of large -scale advanced pressure water piles and high -temperature gas and cold stacks continues to advance. The research and development of key technologies for advanced nuclear energy systems such as heaps, melting salt piles, and fixture piles have been made in new breakthroughs.

According to Wang Shoujun, in 2021, my country proposed a positive and safe and orderly development nuclear power. With the implementation of the "dual carbon" goals and the implementation of energy safety requirements, nuclear energy development has ushered in an important period of opportunity. It is expected that by 2025, my country's nuclear power operation installed capacity will reach about 70 million kilowatts.

It is reported that the International Nuclear Engineering Conference was jointly launched by the American Society of Machinery Engineers and the Japanese Mechanical Engineer Society in 1991. It is the most important global academic conference in the field of nuclear engineering. The Chinese Nuclear Society has become one of the organizers of the meeting since 2005.

The 29th International Nuclear Engineering Conference was held in Beijing and Shenzhen from August 8th to 12th. The theme is "Nuclear Energy Innovation to help carbon neutralize the future". More than 1,200 experts and scholars from more than 20 countries attended the meeting.
