Two bridges participating in Zhongtie Mountain Bridge are shortlisted for the highest award in the international bridge engineering industry

Recently, the International Bridge and Structure Engineering Association (IABSE) announced on its official website the 2022 IABSE Global Project and Technical Award. Outstanding infrastructure awards, the highest award in the international bridge engineering industry.

The main channel of the Shanghai -Soviet Tong Yangtze River Bridge, which was shortlisted for the Outstanding Bridge Structure Award, is the double -tower steel truss cable bridge, with a total length of 2299.6 meters and a main span of 1092 meters. The throat engineering of the channel is also the key control project of the Shanghai -Sutong Railway. Zhongtie Mountain Bridge is responsible for the manufacturing task of 47 sections of Zhangjiagang Bank Z0-Z18, Zhangjiagang Bank, the Shanghai-Soviet Tong Yangtze River Bridge. The design weight is about 65,542 tons. This bridge integrates many new technologies, new structures, new processes, and new materials. The manufacturing technology has once again achieved major breakthroughs.

The Pingtang Bridge, which was shortlisted for an outstanding infrastructure award, was 2135 meters in length and 30.2 meters wide. The height of the three bridge towers is 320 meters, 332 meters, and 298 meters, which are equivalent to building three 100 -story buildings in the canyon, known as the "Bridge of the Sky". The Pingtang Bridge is another iconic project on the Yunnan -Guizhou Plateau after the Beipan River Bridge. After the bridge was completed, the traffic time from Pingtang to Luodian was shortened from two and a half hours to one hour, becoming a traffic road connecting the southern part of Guizhou, which is of great significance to help the poverty alleviation of the Dianqian Gui Shi Danhua area.

The International Bridge and Structural Engineering Association was established in 1929. It currently has more than 3,000 members from more than 100 countries and regions. It is the International Civil Engineering Association with the most membership states. The Nanjing Da Shengguan Yangtze River Bridge, the Hong Kong -Zhuhai -Macao Bridge, and the Norwegian Harollagland Bridge, which were constructed by Zhongtie Mountain Bridge, all won this international award. Up to now, Zhongtie Mountain Bridge has accumulated more than 3,200 bridges, achieving feats of 41 spans the Yangtze River, 21 spans, and 17 spans, and witnessed the entire process of the development of the New China bridge.
