In the midsummer in July, the city culture and historical architectural guidance team of "studying the river bank" restarted the guided tour. Volunteers took citizens and tourists to explore the beautiful old buildings hidden in ordinary alleyways, and there were many historical stories of vast smoke.

Volunteer Chen Jiali: Old buildings in Wuhan are worth sharing

At 5 pm on Saturday, volunteer Chen Jiali took citizens and tourists from Zhongshan Avenue to Li Huangpi Road to explain the story behind the century -old building along the road. An explanation lasted for an hour and a half. Chen Jiali did not drink a sip, and her face was red and sweaty, but she still communicated with tourists.

Chen Jiali is an employee of a public institution. After coming to work in Wuhan, he is very interested in Hankou's old buildings. In 2017, the urban culture and historical guide service project of Jiang'an District launched a new recruitment. Chen Jiali joined the "Reading Jiang'an" urban culture and historical architectural guides team. "The volunteer team has a standardized explanation information, and also invited experts to compile localists to conduct interpretation information to check, train volunteers, so that the explanation can have a source, verification, and the history of the wild." Chen Jiali also purchased many books, historical books related to Wuhan for learning.

In a blink of an eye, Chen Jiali has persisted in volunteer services for 6 years. "There is a story behind the old buildings that make me feel interesting and impressive, so that I have the desire to communicate and share with you." Volunteer Qiu Yijie: I want to tell you about the place of childhood life

"I grow up here, teach here, and have a deep fate with this history." Volunteer Qiu Yanjie is a high school teacher in Wuhan No. 16 Middle School, and Nanjing Road is a place where she was a child. Wuhan No. 16 Middle School is located between the old building groups. The school specially offers a "Red Architecture Tour" elective course. Qiu Yanjie is one of the teachers of the lecturers. "When the students walked next to the historical buildings of the century -old neighborhood, listening to the story behind, the shock of the soul is incomparable to the textbooks." Qiu Yijie is the first volunteer to recruit. She introduced that "reading the river bank" recruits young volunteers who are enthusiastic and interested in old buildings and urban history and culture every year, and systematically conduct courses in volunteer literacy training, guiding training and related historical buildings. As of now, more than 600 volunteers have signed up for "reading", and the team has expanded from a dozen to more than 70 people. It has carried out nearly 100 guided activities, theme lectures and service analysis and sharing sessions each year.

"Reading the river bank" is the story of walking while walking, and the old friends generally stroll Jiangcheng streets and taste historical and cultural. Qiu Yijie enjoyed this time with tourists, and there were different scenery throughout this historical feature area throughout the year. "There are often old fans to repeatedly check in." Qiu Yanjie said that the uncle and aunt in the old city are regulars, and the oldest is in his 70s. During Qiu Yijie's explanation, the elderly residents often interacted with her and shared the interesting things when she was a child. "These residents fans have provided us with a lot of story materials for us."
