According to statistics from the Ningbo Meteorological Bureau, since Meimei this year, Ningbo's precipitation is extremely small. The average precipitation in the city is 102.5 mm, which is 65.8%less than the same period of the same year (300.1 mm in the same period per year).

Recently, the Geye Reservoir, which has officially settled the water storage, is located in the lower reaches of Gezhen Village in Dongjiang, Dongjiang, Fenghua River. The functions are mainly flood prevention, and combined with water supply, irrigation, ecology and other comprehensive utilization. The total reservoir design of the reservoir is 40.95 million cubic meters, and the damage of the dam site is 38.5 square kilometers.

After the completion of the Gezhen Reservoir, the flood control standard of the downstream plain will be increased from less than 5 years to 20 years. Dry flood control pressure plays a positive role. At the same time, the average annual water supply of 28 million cubic meters of water to Ningbo and Fenghua District can also alleviate the tension of raw water supply to a certain extent.
