AED is easy to carry, simple operation, and the AED operation methods of different brands and models may be slightly different. Non -professional emergency personnel can be used safely after training.

AED's preparation

In the process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, if patients still have symptoms such as unconsciousness and no breathing, they should be ready to use AED immediately.

Put AED near the patient's head for easy operation.

Open the power of AED. According to the different models, there are models that press the button to turn on, and there are also models that open the lid automatic boot (no power button) and follow the voice prompts.

Paste electrode film

① Open the patient's clothes to expose the chest. You need to cut your clothes without removing clothes. (Because medical disputes in cutting clothes in first aid, emergency need to identify common valuable clothing)

Note: The electrodes need to be pasted on the exposed skin

② Placement of adult electrode tablets: The electrode paste position is on the upper right of the chest (the right edge of the sternum, below the collarbone), and the left side of the left nipple of the patient's chest (the fifth intercostal after the left axillary front line).

Note: Continue to press the sternum during the paste of the electrode.

③ Putting positions of infants and children's electrode pieces: Paste the two electrodes in the middle of the baby and children's chest and the left shoulder blade. Children with larger physical fitness can also stick the electrode plate like an adult's position.

④ The electrode tablets must be closely fitted with the patient's skin. If there is air between the electrode pad and the skin, the electricity cannot be transmitted well.

Note: If there are two rescuers at the scene, while one rescuer implements cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the other rescuer starts to operate AED, and the cardiopulmonary resuscitation cannot be interrupted because of the electrode.

ECG analysis

When the electrode is close to the skin, AED will automatically feel this, and emit the sound of "please leave the body" or do not touch the patient "and other sounds. At the same time, the electrocardiogram began to analyze the electrocardiogram.

Tell the people around you to stay away from the patient and confirm that no one is in contact with the patient. If you contact the patient's body, the analysis of ECG may not be able to proceed smoothly.

Electric shock

If AED is recommended to define, it is necessary to confirm that all personnel have not touched the patient again. After the AED is completed, press the "Shock" button to discharge or AED automatic discharge and defibrillation. If the AED prompts does not require electric shock defibrillation, if necessary, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation should be implemented immediately.

Continue cardiopulmonary resuscitation after defibrillation

After the electric shock defibrillation, the cardiopulmonary resuscitation was immediately implemented. After 2 minutes, AED will automatically analyze the arrhythmia again to determine whether to continue to define.

This is repeatedly operated until the patient resumes heartbeat and autonomous breathing, or professional first aid personnel arrive.
