Hubei: Start provincial natural disaster rescue emergency response

According to the Hubei Provincial Department of Emergency Management, since the summer of this year, the continued high temperature and rainy weather has led to different degrees of drought in most parts of Hubei Province, which has a greater impact on the production and life of the masses.As of 15:00 on the 19th, drought disasters since June have caused 5.7423 million people in 84 counties (cities, districts) in Hubei Province. 353,200 were required for drought living, of which 218,100 people had difficulty drinking water.The drought also caused a disaster to varying degrees of crops in Hubei Province, 690.47 thousand hectares, of which 57.23,000 hectares were collected.

According to the "Hubei Provincial Natural Disaster Rescue Emergency Plan", the Hubei Provincial Disaster Reduction Commission and the Hubei Provincial Emergency Management Department launched the provincial -level natural disaster rescue emergency response at 17:00 on the 19th.The Hubei Provincial Department of Emergency Management has sent multiple working groups to relevant areas to carry out drought relief work.
