June 17 this year is the 28th "World Control and Treatment of Desertification and Drought Day". For a long time, our district focuses on the "four major events" of stable, development, ecology, and strong edges. Through the implementation of various engineering projects, strengthen the governance of sandy land, curb the sandy expansion trends in key areas, and achieve good ecology, social, and economic benefits.

Data show that in 2021, the area of ​​sandy land was completed in the region of 73,700 hectares, and the financial investment of the central and autonomous regions was 535 million yuan, which was excessive to complete the task of sandy land governance. Among them, the forestry grassland department completed the area of ​​sandy land for 54,400 hectares; the water conservancy department completed a total of 15,800 hectares of sandy land governance; the agricultural and rural departments implemented 03,200 hectares of various artificial grass projects.

According to the relevant person in charge, by the implementation of various types of sand prevention and sand control projects, forest grass planting in key areas in the region has been significantly increased, climate soil conditions have been improved, and biodiversity is protected. The construction of civilization has laid a good foundation at the forefront of the country.
