On August 23, Chengdu Rail Group announced that the feasibility study report of the Chengdu to Meishan Line Project of the Municipal (suburban) railway was approved by the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, marking that the Chengmei Line Project will enter the stage of construction.

The main line of Chengmei Line is connected to the direct management area of ​​Tianfu New District and Meishan City of Chengdu City. The urban area starts at Honglian Station, transferred to Meishan East Station with Rail Transit Line 16 and Line 19. The line mainly follows Jiazhou Road -Yizhou Avenue -Tianfu Avenue Meishan section -Wenzhong Street is laid, and it walks northeast to southwest.
