Shanghai has established a petrochemical fire accident investigation team

The latest notice issued by the Shanghai Emergency Administration shows that the accident investigation team has been established.

According to reports, the area where the fire occurred was the ethylene glycol device located on Long'an East Road, Jinshan District, Shanghai. After the accident, the relevant departments immediately launched the emergency plan and dispatched 563 fire rescue workers and 113 fire trucks to the scene to dispose. As of now, on -site disposal is undergoing orderly, and the storage of the pipelines are underwhelmed by protective combustion, and the safety risks are controllable.

After preliminary verification, the accident caused a slight abrasion of a employee in Shanghai Petrochemical, and a third -party transport vehicle driver died.

The monitoring data of the ecological environment departments in Shanghai and Jinshan District showed that the air quality has basically returned to normal; on -site sewage and rainwater pipelines have been closed, and no water body pollution is found in the surrounding river channels.

At present, the Shanghai Emergency Administration has set up an accident investigation team with relevant departments to conduct investigations in accordance with laws and regulations. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

It is understood that ethylene glycol is mainly used to prepare polyester polyester, and is used as solvents such as dyes, inks, and antifreeze that prepares engines. It can also be used for glass paper, fiber, and leather moisturizers.
