The yellow dragon scenic spot above 3000 meters above sea level has more than a thousand colorful ponds, known as "Yaochi on the World". If these surface calcium stubbornly winding in the canyon after thousands of years is like a "dragon", then the color pond is the glittering scales on this "dragon".

The formation of "Yaochi on Earth" is not a day. For tens of thousands of years, the ice and snow on the mountains around Huanglonggou and the water flowing water have been flowing continuously, penetrating into the ice crickets, and shallow latent flowing in the lower part of the loose limestone. With the decrease in water temperature and pressure, the carbon dioxide gas in the creek is reflected, so that the calcium carbonate dissolved in the water is crystal, which accumulates the stems, wood or withered branches of the plants, accumulated over time, forming calcium carbonate enclosures. At the same time, due to the terrain and terrain, the continuous formation of calcium and the formation of ladder -like stacks, surrounded by pools.

In addition to the colorful ponds, Huanglong also has pools such as contending of Yan Pond, Yingbin Pond, and Bing Mirror Pond. Because the scattering of the short wavelength in the lake is far greater than the long wavelength, these colored ponds show gem -like colors. In the canyon, the cutting into different lights also adds the layers and changes of the same color pool color. The sediments of water, the color of the pond dam, the refraction of light, the depth of the pool ... together created the silent poem written by this nature.
