The three review drafts of the draft draft of the Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Law will be submitted to the 36th meeting of the 13th National People's Congress Standing Committee for review. On August 26, the Legal Working Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress held a press conference. A spokesman Yang Heqing introduced that the revision of the Agricultural Quality and Safety Law will be connected with relevant laws such as the Food Safety Law:

First, the amendment of the draft draft to strengthen the safety of agricultural product production conditions, including strengthening the safety investigation, monitoring and evaluation of agricultural production sites, strengthening the management of agricultural input products, promoting the construction of agricultural standardization demonstrations, and improving the production conditions of agricultural products.

Second, in the production session, establish and improve the quality and safety management system of agricultural products, improve the management measures of agricultural product production places and production processes, and ensure the safety of agricultural products in production links.

The third is to improve the agricultural product packaging, logo system and the quality and safety testing system of agricultural products for the sales of agricultural products, and further compact agricultural quality and safety responsibilities of agricultural product wholesale markets, sales enterprises, cold chain logistics companies, and network operators.

Fourth, the establishment of an agricultural product quality and safety commitment to meet the standard certificate. The main purpose of this system is to improve the systemic and safety traceability system of agricultural products.

Fifth, further clarify the division of responsibilities of agricultural and rural and market supervision and management departments, and establish and improve agricultural quality and safety supervision and collaboration mechanism for the entire process.

Sixth, connect with the relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law, increase the punishment of illegal acts, especially improving the punishment of illegal acts related to edible agricultural products, and increasing the illegal cost of agricultural products and operators.
