"Lu Sheng does not ring, the grain is not long." Lu Sheng is a totem symbol and significant symbol of the traditional culture of the Miao people. It is an expression of the emotions of the Miao people's life. Lu Sheng's performance in Zhaotong Pass is rich and diverse. Many "Miao Lusheng Production Skills", "Lusheng Dance" and "Lusheng Tune" are intertwined, forming a living Lu Sheng cultural ecological chain. In 2006, the Miao Lusheng production skills were included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Among them, Daguan Miao Lusheng's production skills are mainly circulated in Tianxing Town, Daguan County, Zhaotong. Lusheng is generally composed of Sheng tube, Shengdou, reed, and resonance tube. Lusheng's production materials are bitter bamboo, white fir, birch bark, brass, and tools are knives, saws, shaved, chisels, drills, hammers, scissors, furnaces, etc. Dozens of procedures such as films can make a beautiful and good sound quality Lu Sheng finished product.
