On the morning of August 27th, the Dragon Boat Competition of the Seventh Minority Traditional Sports Games in Guangdong Province ended the schedule in Shaoguan's Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County. According to reports, the event was sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Ethnic Religious Affairs Committee, the Guangdong Sports Bureau, and the People's Government of Shaoguan City, every four years. A total of 12 small projects are provided. According to the competition regulations, each of them participates in the municipal -level unit. Each participating team is limited to 9 small projects. The Dragon Boat Race of this Games participated in the competition from 18 teams (9 men and 9 women's teams) from the province.

The Dragon Boat Team of Qingyuan City participated by the Liannan Men and Women's Dragon Boat Team, participating in a total of 22 Dragon Boat men's groups, women's groups, mixed groups of 100 meters, and 12 -person dragon boat men's group, women's group, mixed group 500 Mi Zhidao racing, etc., a total of 8 items. On August 30, the Qingyuan (Liannan) Dragon Boat Team participated in the Dragon Boat Test Tournament of the Guangdong Provincial Games.

In the four -day competition, the Qingyuan (Liannan) Dragon Boat team competed with Foshan, Dongguan, Shaoguan, Guangzhou, Heyuan and other teams. On the field, the drummer raised the hammer and slammed the gong. The team members struggled to wave to the end, showing the spirit of "love to win" to the fullest, and won the audience's applause.

It is understood that the Qingyuan (Liannan) men's Dragon Boat Team, which participated in this competition, was formed since 2007, mainly composed of Yao athletes. Among them, they include workers, farmers, students, teachers and veterans. This Dragon Boat Team, in the Dragon Boat Championship of the Qingyuan City, has won good results in third and fourth place. On behalf of Qingyuan City, they participated in the Dragon Boat Project Competition of the Traditional Sports Games in Guangdong Province and the Dragon Boat Competition of the Guangdong Sports Conference. They all achieved good results.
