Risk alert to preventing woven snail food poisoning

Weaving snails, commonly known as conch snails, conch snails, wheat snail or white snails, etc., mainly distributed in coastal areas such as Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, etc. Essence The shape of the woven snail is characterized by a pointed and slender tail, with a length of about 1 cm and a width of about 0.5 cm. The woven snail contains rivers toxin to cause food poisoning. The 2012 Ministry of Health's announcement in 2012 (2012 No. 13) clearly requested that any food production and operation unit may not be purchased, processed and sold for weaving snails. River poisoning can cause symptoms such as dizziness, vomiting, lips and fingers. In severe cases, the poisoning period is generally 10 minutes to 3 hours. The toxin is stable in heat, boiling, salt, and sun exposure cannot be destroyed. At present, there are no special effects to treat detoxifying drugs.

In order to protect the public's health and avoid poisoning due to the edible woven snail, the following risk warnings are issued:

1. No food production and operation units may purchase, process and sell woven snails.

2. The public should raise awareness of self -protection and not buy or eat woven snails. After eating the woven snails, if the symptoms of poisoning occur, they should immediately vomit and go to the hospital for treatment.

Third, if you find that food production and operation units are found to be procurement, processing, and sales of woven snails, 12315 shall call 12315 to report to the local food safety regulatory department.
